Visitor Hub
Location: Surrey, England Type: RIBA Competition Date: January 2016 Client: Woodland Trust
The key aim of the proposal is to emphasise the visual experience of the visitor and offer them flexible spaces. The main areas are connected to each other with sliding and folding doors by which the internal configuration can be changed depending on activities taking place. The landscape becomes the main element by creating big openings which frame the best views from the site. These are views facing north, towards Langley Bottom Wood, and views facing east, to Langley Vale and the location of the Wood memorial
